Classes for Anyone

CPR & AED- American Heart Association CPR.  This course is for someone with limited or no medical training.  This course covers the basics of CPR for adults, children and infants, how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), using CPR barrier devices and relief of choking.  Minimum class size is 5.

**This course does NOT meet the requirements for healthcare providers such as EMTs, nurses, and doctors.  Please choose BLS if you are a healthcare provider.**

First Aid - American Heart Association First Aid.   This course is for someone with limited or no medical training.    This course teaches first aid basics, managing medical emergencies, injury emergencies and environmental emergencies.  This class meets the requirements for adoption, scouting programs, foster care, etc.  Minimum class size is 5.  

Child and Babysitting Safety - American Safety and Health Institute.  This course is for young people ages 11 - 15 who are interested in becoming babysitters.   This course teaches students the essential skills necessary to become babysitters.  This course covers running a babysitting business, feeding babies and children, changing diapers, CPR, relief of choking, home safety, first aid and many more topics.  Skills are practiced on manikins with role playing scenarios.  This class covers CPR and choking review but does not include a CPR certification.  Minimum class size is 5.  

Combined CPR, AED & 1st Aid - This class combines American Heart Association CPR & AED with 1st Aid.  Minimum class size is 5.  

Classes For Healthcare Providers

BLS - Basic Life Support.  American Heart Association CPR for healthcare professionals.  This is intended for people in the healthcare industry who are required to have a CPR certification for their employment.  Minimum class size is 5.  

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support.  American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support for healthcare professionals.  ACLS is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiac emergencies.    Prerequisites:  Students must have a basic knowledge of cardiac rhythms and pharmacology.  Minimum class size is 5.  

PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support.  American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support.   The PALS course is designed for healthcare professionals required to respond to pediatric cardiac and medical emergencies as well as direct the patient care during those emergencies.   Prerequisites:  Students must have a basic knowledge of cardiac rhythms and pharmacology.  Minimum class size is 5.  

Classes for Child Care Workers

Pediatric CPR, First Aid & AED - American Heart Association.  This course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements of child care workers in all 50 states.  Providers will be taught how to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant until professional help arrives.  Minimum class size is 5.
